Fr. Giles Dimock, OP, preaches the Advent Men’s Retreat to the Men of St. Gertrude’s

The annual St. Gertrude Catholic Men’s Advent Retreat was held on December 5–6 at the Holy Spirit Center in Norwood, Ohio. Fr. Giles Dimock, OP, preached this year’s retreat speaking on the subject of men, fatherhood, and St. Joseph who represents the “finest dimension of being a man.” All four conference talks can be heard on the St. Gertrude’s website. Fr. Dimock made simple profession in the Order of Preachers in 1960 and was ordained a priest in 1966. He studied at the University of Notre Dame, the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception and earned his Doctorate in Sacred Theology from the Angelicum in Rome. He is an expert in the field of liturgy. Fr. Dimock has taught theology at the Franciscan University in Steubenville, Providence College, the Angelicum, and at the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception. He has published numerous articles and books on liturgy, theology, and architecture, most recently 101 Questions and Answers on the Eucharist from Paulist Press. Fr. Dimock currently serves at St. Gertrude Parish in Madeira, Ohio, where the novitiate of the Province of St. Joseph is located.
