Art of the Beautiful Lecture

Julia Yost will deliver a lecture entitled “Anglo-Catholic Modernism: Writing Religious Beauty in the Modern Era” as part of “The Art of the Beautiful” series sponsored by the Catholic Artists Society and the Thomistic Institute. The lecture will take place on Saturday, January 17, at 7:30pm at the Catholic Center at NYU and will be followed by a reception and sung Compline.

Ms. Yost is a PhD Candidate in English at Yale University, where she studies Victorian poetry, and an M.F.A. Candidate in fiction at Washington University in St. Louis.  Her critical writings on literature and culture appear in Religion and the Arts, the Victorians Institute Journal, Commonweal, and First Things.
