Dominican Friars and the March for Life 2015

On Thursday, January 22, the Dominican friars in Washington, DC will participate in the National Day of Penance and Prayer for the Legal Protection of Unborn Children and the March for Life. Masses and other events will be held at the two Dominican communities in Washington, St. Dominic’s Church and the Dominican House of Studies. All are welcome to march with the friars’ group during the March for Life; the friars will assemble behind a black and white banner on the National Mall between 12:30pm and 1:00pm.

Wednesday, Jan 21

5:00 PM: Office of Readings and Evening Prayer (Dominican House of Studies) 9:20 PM: Compline following Vigil Mass (Dominican House of Studies)

Thursday, Jan 22

6 –7:00 AM: National Shrine crypt Holy Hour led by the friars, with preaching, Morning Prayer, and Benediction (National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception) 8:00 AM: Community Mass with Morning Prayer (Dominican House of Studies) 8:00 AM: Parish Mass (St. Dominic’s Church) 10:00 AM: Enrollment for the Angelic Warfare Confraternity (Dominican House of Studies) 12:10 PM: Parish Mass (St. Dominic’s Church) 12:30 – 1 PM: Arrive on the National Mall with Dominican banner (map of National Mall) 5:20 -6 PM: Rosary and Evening Prayer (Dominican House of Studies) 9:00 PM: Compline (Dominican House of Studies)
