Thomistic Circles

The weekend of March 20–21, the Thomistic Institute will host the Spring 2015 Thomistic Circles conference “What is a Human Person?” Speakers include Dr. Steven Long from Ave Maria University, Dr. Thomas Pfau from Duke University, Dr. Candace Vogler from the University of Chicago, and Dr. Brad Gregory and Dr. John O’Callaghan from the University of Notre Dame. The event will be held at the Pontifical Faculty of the Immaculate Conception, located in Washington, D.C., at 487 Michigan Ave. NE. The lectures are free and open to the public.
The Thomistic Circles are an annual cycle of conferences designed to help renew in the Church today a sense of the perennial importance of the thought of St. Thomas Aquinas, the Angelic Doctor. The conferences bring together scholars of the highest level to present with clarity and insight the wisdom of Aquinas, in dialogue with one another, and in response to modern problems and questions. The Thomistic Circles conferences are offered bi-annually in both the Spring and Fall semesters.
