“Witnesses of Compassion” is a series on op.org that focuses on the vocation of the Cooperator Brother in the Dominican Order. The latest installment – “Impelled by the Eucharist: Preaching, Compassion, and the Caring Moment” – features an interview with Br. Ignatius Perkins, O.P. Br. Ignatius currently serves as the Executive Director of the Dominican Friars Health Care Ministry of New York. In the interview, he observes that “Dominican Cooperator Brothers, as consolers of the sick and those in distress, have been singularly called to respond to the radical call that evangelization evokes; to open our doors to those who seek healing and hope.” Click here for the full interview.
