Successful Thomistic Institute Conference for Priests

The Thomistic Institute held their fifth annual conference for priests entitled “Becoming a Better Preacher” from August 9-11 at the Basilica of the Assumption in Baltimore. In addition to coming together for Mass, discussion, adoration, and the liturgy of the hours, the conference featured a strong slate of plenary talks:
- “The Preacher is Called to Preach” — Fr. John Harris, OP
- “Preaching the Doctrine of the Faith” — Fr. Thomas Joseph White, OP
- “The Spirituality of the Preacher” — Fr. Paul Scalia
- “Preaching to the New Faithful” — Fr. Paul Check
- “Preaching Beyond the Pulpit” — Fr. Bill Byrne
