A native of Geneva, NY, Fr. Mario Calabrese entered the novitiate of the Dominican Province of St. Joseph in 2007. He made simple profession in 2008 and was assigned to the Dominican House of Studies in Washington, DC where he completed his philosophical and theological studies. Fr. Mario was ordained a priest in May 2014 at St. Dominic Church in Washington, DC. Since his ordination, Fr. Mario has served as parochial vicar at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Charlottesville, VA and is currently the prior of the community.
